Food Access Associate at the YMCA of Greater Seattle

Food Access Associates are full-time, paid AmeriCorps members who help families access healthy, affordable, and culturally relevant food.

Members will partner with the YMCA of Greater Seattle to increase awareness of local meal sites across South King County and work to maximize access to those meals for kids. These roles will provide critical relief to families while having fun and engaging with kids onsite by leading youth activities. There will also be opportunities to learn about meal preparation and help with distribution, conduct outreach, and build relationships throughout the community.
This opportunity is ideal for anyone interested in working with children in their community to make sure they receive the nutrition they need to thrive in a supportive and friendly environment.

Food Access Associate at Tacoma Public Schools

Food Access Associates are full-time, paid AmeriCorps members who help families access healthy, affordable, and culturally relevant food.

Members will partner with Tacoma Public Schools to increase awareness and maximize access to school meals for students. Supporting school meals programs in a large school district provides critical relief to families in our community. This role will engage and build relationships with stakeholders across the district, support schools on the ground, and gather data and feedback to improve program operations.
This opportunity is ideal for anyone interested in supporting systems change by implementing innovative school meal programs so all students have equitable and consistent access to nutritious meals.
