Introducing the Small Business Micro-grant Program by the Federal Way Black Collective: Empowering Small, Underserved Businesses!
Are you a small, underserved business in the Federal Way area seeking the assistance you need to thrive and grow? Look no further than the Micro-grant Program the Federal Way Black Collective offers. We understand small businesses' unique challenges, particularly those historically marginalized or underserved.
Our Micro-grant Program aims to provide crucial financial support to eligible businesses, helping them cover expenses, invest in growth opportunities, and overcome barriers to success. We believe in fostering economic equity and creating a level playing field for all businesses in our community.
Business Benefits:
Selected businesses can receive $1,000 PLUS up to 30 hours of consulting and training – (a $2,500 value).
Consulting and access to training resources can be in a wide range of areas, such as:

Strategic planning

Implementing process improvement strategies

Making and developing a marketing plan
-
Developing and implementing a workforce recruitment plan

Diversifying supply chains and sales strategies
-
Addressing cybersecurity challenges
-
Conducting research and development on innovative manufacturing processes or products
Eligibilty Guidelines
-
Have less than 50 employees or less than $2 million in gross revenue AND
-
Have at least one of these characteristics:
-
Women-owned
-
BIPOC-owned
-
LGBTQIA+ -owned
-
Other marginalized populations (disabled, immigrant, religious minority, etc.)
-

Business must be located in the following cities: Federal Way and surrounding cities within King County.

In operation for a minimum of 1 year.

Proof of business license
-
UBI number
-
Businesses awarded micro-grant must attend monthly business meetings for (12) twelve months.
